Kylie enjoyed her first swim...even though the water was cold (notice that I'm not in any of the pool pics:)), and Zach got over his hydrophobia (a.k.a. irrational fear of water).
The kids had a great time at a children's museum we found in Tuscon, AZ. We were thankful that they had a baby room as well as activities to accommodate Zach (doesn't he look like Fievel?).
We went to a ranch for dinner that also had a small zoo (El Paso, TX). Zach got to feed some very hungry bunnies, Kylie tasted her first ribs, and we even got to see a coyote eating some meat scraps just outside the window next to our table (not pictured).
This is what our view from the car looked like from just west of San Antonio, TX to just east of San Diego. We did see the occasional mountain range and windmill farm in the distance, but that's about it.
There were some amazing mountains once we got out of the Mojave desert (CA), but we were so anxious to get to San Diego at that point, that we didn't stop to take pictures.
Thank you to the Gues for recommending this amazing barbecue place to us! Note "The Original";).
In case you're wondering, these pictures are not at all in chronological order, I'm sorry if that bothers you, but by the time I realized it, I didn't feel like fixing it... I'll attempt to be more organized in the future. We hope you've enjoyed this glimpse of our trip, and we will try to keep this as updated as possible, but with a new baby on the way, we make no promises!
